Sugar Kane hashes with the Rome H3 in Italy 2004-06-20

 

Sugar Kane, Floater and Clark Kent met up with KC (Kaptain Condom) and Haggisimo at a local pub on the day of the hash and started the journy to the event about 30 kilometers outside Rome. First with the subway and then, after some confusion we found the commuter train that would take us to the bus station. But there was no bus to get us to the venue in time so Floater and Clark Kent decided to turn back into the city. Sugar Kane, KC and Haggisimo wanted to go on, so we found a taxi. Arriving at the meeting point in the village we realized we had about 2 hours until the hash. We got plenty of local beer and some food!

The precence of an ambulance was just a coincident!

There was also a hash dog.

There was a quick circle with chalk-talk before the run.

Then we were off to the first check a few hundred meters down a street.

Nobody found the stairs in the wall, that seemed like the obvious ON to me which gave the opportunity to capture some action UP the stairs.

A beatiful valley could be seen between the houses at the top of the stairs.

Of course the trail led us down a serpentine road down to the bottom of the valley where there was another check by this sign.

The trail led us on a path a few hundred meters along a field with a little creek that of course had to be crossed. Suddenly we found ourselves together with some donkeys, and a horse!?!

Well, the climb up another serpentine road felt like it never was going to end, but at the end we had a circle where down-downs was handed out.

After the circle there was more beer and snacks!

Later we had som dinner at local pizzeria before we left for the city.

It all took 12 hours and I must say, the memories from this hash are going to stay with me for a very long time.
