Tjurkö is now being used for sea salvage operations by the C-Star company, and is FAMOUS for having discovered the Russian Czar's last shipment of French Champagne off the Åland Islands, which was lost when the ship carrying it, Jönköping, was sunk by German submarines in WW I.
While Tjurkö was being readied to put to sea for the Summer's treasure hunting members of the Stockholm HHH were invited by the owner and proprieter of the C-Star company, Mr. Peter Lindberg, make use of her generous crew quarters and party deck for the run, down and the overnight stay of Saturday 15 July 2000.

Bar-b-que on the Deck and in the forward "gun turret" dining hall of the good-ship Tjurkö

Concluded with "toastie" marshmellows

Then the rains came. But that is another story. OK then. After the bar-b-que was over, thankfully, it started to rain. It rained so heavily that the power went off to the Tjurkö resulting in a pitch black sleeping environment on the lower decks. The rain continued on Sunday forcing an extremely rare cancellation of a run. So the pack retreated to the Captain's cabin and nibbled on shrimp, washing it down with champagne. When that was finished everyone packed up to return to Stockholm. On departure, of course, the sun came out.
